AI chatbot for your website, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, trained on your own content, with a human-takeover inbox.

== Description ==

* Name your assistant. It introduces itself by that name on every channel.
* Brand the chat: colours, assistant picture, left or right position, your site font, with a live preview. Text colours adjust automatically to stay readable.
* Answers from your published pages, posts and WooCommerce products, plus the business information you type in.
* Website chat widget, plus Telegram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
* One inbox for every channel: take over a chat, reply, and hand it back to the bot.
* Customers can type "human" to ask for a person; you get an email alert.
* Voice chat: visitors can tap the microphone and speak, and hear the answer read aloud. The microphone hides while a team member has the chat.
* Pick any chat model your API key can use, loaded live from your provider, and test the connection from Settings.
* Built-in protection: per-person message limits and a daily cap on AI replies so nobody can run up your bill.
* No middleman cloud. Your site talks directly to your AI provider and to Telegram/Meta. Conversations stay in your WordPress database.

== Setup ==

1. Activate the plugin and open BuzyBuddy > Settings.
2. Pick an AI provider (OpenAI, Gemini or Claude) and paste your API key.
3. Add your business information, name your assistant, tick "Show the chat widget" and save.
4. Telegram: create a bot with @BotFather and paste the token. It connects automatically.
5. WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram: in your Meta developer app, add Webhooks with the Callback URL and Verify token shown in Settings, subscribe to "messages", then paste the app secret and access tokens.

Telegram and Meta must be able to reach your site over public HTTPS. A site running only on your own computer needs a tunnel or a staging site.

Optional: add `define('BUZYBUDDY_ENCRYPTION_KEY', 'a-long-random-string');` to wp-config.php so stored keys survive a change of WordPress salts.

== External services ==

BuzyBuddy sends data only to services you configure:

* Your chosen AI provider (api.openai.com, generativelanguage.googleapis.com or api.anthropic.com): the customer's message, recent conversation history, your instructions and matching business information. Each provider's terms and privacy policy apply.
* Telegram Bot API (api.telegram.org): replies to Telegram customers, and the webhook registration.
* Meta Graph API (graph.facebook.com): replies to WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram customers.
* Voice messages (optional, on by default): the visitor's browser turns speech into text with its own built-in speech service. In Chrome and Edge that audio is processed by Google or Microsoft; in Safari by Apple. BuzyBuddy only receives the resulting text. Turn it off under Settings > Your assistant.

== Privacy ==

Conversations (messages, channel user IDs and names) are stored in your WordPress database. Uninstalling the plugin deletes them.
