Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy explains how I, Jason Amadiegwu, collect and use personal data through webdesignexpert.site. It is written to meet the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission’s General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Jason Amadiegwu, a freelance WordPress developer and product designer based in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

2. What I collect and why

Emails and messages you send me To communicate with you and deliver work Contract or steps before a contract; my legitimate interest in keeping records of our communication 12 months after our last contact; for clients, the length of the project plus any period the law requires for business records

Anonymous visit statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics To understand which pages are useful Legitimate interests; no cookies are used and no personal profile is built Aggregated statistics only

I do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and I never sell it. The enquiry form does not record your IP address.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so it does not show a cookie consent banner.

  • Session storage: your browser remembers, for the current tab only, that the short intro animation has already played. It is deleted when you close the tab.
  • Security cookies: my security provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated attacks.
  • Administrator cookies: WordPress sets login cookies only for site administrators, never for visitors.

If this ever changes, I will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.

4. Who processes your data for me

  • DreamHost (United States): website hosting and email.
  • Cloudflare (global network): content delivery, security and cookieless analytics.
  • Google (United States): private storage of website backups in Google Drive.
  • Calendly (United States): only if you choose to book a call through my booking link, under Calendly’s privacy policy.

Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Upwork and my clients’ websites, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria, the EU and the UK, mainly in the United States. Where this happens, I rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR and the NDPA, such as the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, together with their security commitments.

6. How I protect your data

The site runs only over encrypted HTTPS connections and is protected by a firewall, security monitoring and regular software updates. Access to enquiries is limited to me, and backups are kept in a private account.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the NDPA you can ask me to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to how I use it;
  • send your data to you or another provider in a portable format;
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.

Email [email protected] and I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, to the data protection authority in your EU country, or to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

8. Children

This site is meant for businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

I will update this page if how I handle data changes, and change the date at the top.
